Construction Director (Housing)

My client is one of Kent’s leading home builders. A privately owned development and construction company. They have an excellent reputation for delivering the best customer service and have received many prestigious accolades over the years for the properties they build.

They currently have a very exciting opportunity to become their Construction Director in the region.
The role will be to lead the construction, ensuring that short and long term targets are achieved. Drive continuous improvement, profit driven and customer centric agenda, challenging the status quo and proactively identify operational enhancements.
Business Performance and Growth

·Effectively manage the production side of the business and to achieve the targets agreed, ensuring decisions are taken in the best interest of the company.

·Provide strong and inspiring leadership across the business

·Drive sustainable performance through active ownership of the talent and performance management agenda for the business.

·Develop high performance teams by ensuring the recruitment, development and the retention of high potential and high quality people.
Operational Excellence

·Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the business ensuring practises and processes are regularly reviewed, enhance and optimised.

·Maintain a close working relationship across the business by regularly undertaking site visits

·Ensure all new H&S standards are adopted and actively maintained in line with our strategic regulations and that all employees remain safe at all times.

·Work closely with the commercial team to maintain costings

Key Skills

You will need to have a proven track record in house building, have a history if senior management and be able to work closely with the commercial team as well as Project Mangers
